Since 2024, a place full of hope and opportunity has been taking shape in Nguechokh, Senegal: Up to 600 children, ages 6-12, will be able to attend school in the future in the school we are building. Construction is in full swing – with the preparation of the foundation slabs and the start of the shell construction, we have reached an important milestone. The project is scheduled for completion by the end of 2025.

A total of twelve modern classrooms – six on each side of the school building – as well as an informative computer room, a courtyard for breaks and meetings, a teachers’ room and a principal’s office form the heart of the complex.

A special highlight is the integrated bakery training center at the front of the school. It will not only provide fresh bread and a hot meal for the children, but also create apprenticeships and contribute to the school’s long-term financing through the sale of baked goods.

With this project, we not only want to impart knowledge, but also create perspectives – for the children, their families, and the entire region.
